During a hybrid model (orange/blue day schedule), school districts are to provide child care during regularly scheduled school hours, on regularly scheduled school days to district enrolled elementary (K-6) aged students to support our families who are employed in healthcare, emergency services, and other areas critical to keep our communities going. If you and your spouse are BOTH employed in one of the jobs listed in the Governor's Job Criteria link below, and have a child enrolled in Nashwauk-Keewatin schools grades K-6, you can request an application for childcare by calling the Keewatin Elementary School office at 218-885-1280 x51151.
During a potential hybrid model (orange/blue day schedule), the district will make this service available from 8:00am - 3:00pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during a potential hybrid model (orange/blue) and 8:00am - 2:00pm on Wednesdays to families who meet the following criteria:
In order for us to prioritize space, we will require you to apply for childcare by submitting this form and a copy of your work ID badge.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided to the students in childcare.
