ISD 319 Families and Community,
I'm extremely grateful to begin this position of High School Principal at ISD 319. From the short span of time of me starting this position and writing this page, I can tell this is a community that is passionate about the children who go to school here. I love being in a small town school district; in fact, NK will be the large school I've ever attended, or worked in. I'm looking forward to finding out what great things the NK communities have to offer.
I'm a high school graduate of Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley H.S. in western MN. From there I went into an undergraduate program at Southwest Minnesota State University where I double majored in Elementary and Early Childhood education. I found a job at Northland Community Schools as a fifth grade classroom teacher. After a few years in the classroom, I decided I wanted a little more 'skin in the game' of the educational decisions. I chose to go back to school and get my Masters degree in Educational Leadership and attained my Principal and Superintendents licenses through Minnesota State University Moorhead. I began leadership positions at Northland right away becoming the Activities Director, Staff Development Coordinator, and became sort of a "Swiss Army Knife" in the educational realm. I found out that no matter what I was doing in the school, I enjoyed being a leader of staff and students and was ready to take the next step in a true administrative role, bringing me to NK.
I'm married to my amazing wife Samantha who is the mother of our three children: Lola (age 4), Maci (age 3), and Briggs (1 month old). I enjoy going on adventures with them and spending a lot of time just hanging out. I'm also a big Minnesota Sports fan and I'm excited to become a fan of NK athletics.
I'm excited to see what this year and the next years are going to hold. I am available to all. The best way to communicate with my is by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, but if you desire a phone call, my phone number here is 218-851-1280 x51101.
