There is a new elective called Spartan Outdoors for grades 7/8! The goal is exposure of outdoor activities to students, infuse literature, reading comprehension, and explore areas to be outside! We want students to fall in love with something they can do outside for many decades!
Our first field trip was to Minnesota Discovery Center. Students hiked, kayaked, read maps, had a picnic, toured a mountain bike rental store, and made memories! See the pics!

Hello NK families!
Here are the college and career activities that some students have been able to attend this September. This calendar also includes college and career visitors. MN North College hosted an education fair with at least 20 booths of Minnesota technical, state, and university colleges. Some Wisconsin colleges were also present. Two U.S. Army recruiters visited the 11th and 12th graders during advisory and interested students were able to connect with them. Next Monday, an enrollment specialist will visit the school at 10:00. A link for local scholarships is attached to the end of this post. October also has multiple events planned that you can be on the look out for!
