5th grade had a great trip to the new school!! It is really coming along and will be ready for next school year. The kids loved all of it but especially the gyms, wrestling room, and the BIG area for the shop. It is quite impressive. Nice to see local contractors and NK Alumni employed at the new school.

REMINDER: “Pennies for Veterans” Fundraiser Starts Tomorrow!
Dear Students, Families, and Community Citizens,
Starting Monday, October 21st, we will be starting our “Pennies for Veterans” Fundraiser in collaboration with the Patriotic Kenny Foundation. Our goal is to raise $1000 to donate a mobility scooter to a Veteran in need in the Nashwauk-Keewatin area. The scooter will be awarded at our Veterans Day Program on November 11th, 2024 at the Keewatin Elementary School at 1pm.
The “Pennies for Veterans” coin drive will work much like the penny wars we have had in the past where we have donated to the Booster Club or local charities for Random Acts of Kindness month in February. This is a friendly competition amongst the classes and the kids love it. The classroom collecting the most donations will receive a Pizza Party!
Below you will find a list of what denomination of coin to send in with your child for donation, if you so choose, and on what day. This is a completely voluntary donation opportunity.
Monday, October 21st Pennies
Tuesday, October 22nd Nickels
Wednesday, October 23rd Dimes
Thursday, October 24th Quarters
Friday, October 25th All denominations of change or dollars
Please click the link below to view a special message to our students from Patriotic Kenny!

Join the boys basketball team! We need two team managers to facilitate a successful season. This pivotal role contributes to our program's revitalization. Students in grades 7-12 attending Nashwauk-Keewatin schools are encouraged to participate. Team managers assist with games, practices, and other duties.
Contact head coach Phil Peliska, AD Justin Sundquist, or volunteer Zach McNeil. The season starts in one month!
