Nashwauk High School's Spartan Angling fall semester final trip number 3 of 3! Crappiefest at a local lake with lots of fish caught and released. Many firsts with species caught, learning electronics, and new techniques. It’s a joy to teach kids to fish and keeping the youth fishing cycle going. Filet tomorrow and fish fry Friday!

KEEWATIN ELEMENTARY 5TH AND 6TH GRADE SPELLING BEE!!!!! JAN 15TH- 1st round of Bee- 5th and 6th graders take a written test in Mr. Lysaker's room. Words will be passed out before Christmas. JAN 22TH- 2nd round of Bee- Top 3 in each class (12 total) take an oral test during the school day. Top 12 get pizza and pickled fish for lunch with Mr. Lysaker and Mr. Sletten. Words will be passed out after round 1 (450 word list) Winner goes to the Regionals in Mt. Iron at the Northeast Service Coop and competes against other schools on Feb 11th!!!!!! Winner of the Regionals goes to the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.
