Nashwauk-Keewatin students benefit every day from the hard work of our School Board. February 17-21 is School Board Recognition Week. Please make time to thank our dedicated leaders for spending time away from their own families and jobs, so that all our children can get a good education.

Cold and virus season is in full swing in our communities. Our number of confirmed influenza (flu) and strep throat cases is on the rise throughout our district. We ask that you please keep your child home if they are sick. Influenza (flu) comes on suddenly. Many people with the flu feel tired and have high fever, headache, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and sore muscles. Antiviral medications can make the flu milder, so see your doctor if you think your child may have it. Please let the school know if your child is diagnosed with doctor confirmed flu, and which type it is if you know. Students must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to school. If you have any questions, or to report illnesses to the school, please call (218) 885-1280 x 51154.
